MARBLE FALLS, Texas (KXAN) — Out in the hills of Marble Falls, there’s a perfect place to ride around on bikes.
Station Mountain Bike Park opened this fall, built on 120 acres with 370 feet of vertical elevation, touting 23 different trails for riders of all skill levels.
Its owner, Rhett Jones, is a high school senior.

WHITE DEER, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The White Deer Independent School District reported on social media Thursday night that a student has died after a reported “bicycle incident.”
The post read that Jordan Jones “passed away from injuries sustained from a bicycle incident.”

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin police are asking for help finding a driver who hit and critically injured a bicyclist earlier this month before leaving the scene.
Police responded to the crash in the 10500 block of Dessau Road, between East Rundberg Lane and East Braker Lane, at 6:54 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5.
A 59-year-old Hispanic woman was hit while riding a bicycle. The suspect “immediately left the scene” without stopping to help or calling 911, police say.
The bicyclist was taken to the hospital with multiple life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Austin Area Crime Stoppers at 512-471-8477 or by submitting a tip online. Submissions can be anonymous. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information that leads to an arrest.

SAN ANTONIO – The 65-year-old man who was killed after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle has now been identified.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner shared that William Tracy Mize, 65, was killed by blunt force injuries and his death was ruled an accident.

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Friends and family are praying for a quick recovery of a Midwestern State University collegiate cyclist who was struck by a truck on Wednesday.
Noah Reinertz was struck by a vehicle while out on a training ride on Highway 25 with the MSU Cycling Team Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

AUSTIN, Texas — One of North Austin’s most prominent roads will soon be expanding.
On Friday, members of the City of Austin’s Capital Delivery Services Department joined with officials from Samsung Electronics and the Pioneer Crossing Elementary School to break ground on the East Braker Lane Expansion project.
The project, which is being completed for the Austin Transportation and Public Works Department, will ultimately extend East Braker Lane approximately three-quarters of a mile from its current endpoint at Dawes Place to Samsung Boulevard.
