FM 187 Gets a Facelift
According to a MySA.com article, the popular FM 187 near Utopia is getting a makeover.
“ As part of a long-overdue makeover, the 100-kilometer route linking Garner State Park to Lost Maples State Natural Area is getting extra-wide paved shoulders with fine-grade gravel — to ease handlebar vibration — just for the cyclists who have fallen in love with the area.”
“ The $20 million road reconstruction project, with its built-in bicyclist-friendly attributes, is perhaps the only rural road project of its kind in Texas, transportation officials say. About 15 miles of the southern leg near Garner State Park are complete.”
