Texas MS 150 kickoff event happening Tuesday at Aggieland Outfitters

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Tuesday is the kickoff event for the 40th Annual Texas MS 150.
It’s happening at the Aggieland Outfitters on Fairview Avenue in College Station from 4 to 7 p.m. Attendees will be able to mingle with riders and volunteers and learn how they could win a TREK Madone SL6.
It comes as registration is now open for the race, which raises funds and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis.
Cyclists will depart from Houston and Austin on April 27, finishing in Aggieland on Texas A&M’s campus.

Premium bicycle shop Epic Cycles opens at West U’s Plaza in the Park

Epic Cycles opened its second Houston location at West University Place’s Plaza in the Park shopping center.
Officials with the premium bicycle company held a grand opening event Jan. 19-20 and offered guests free swag, refreshments and the opportunity to participate in a group bike ride, according to the company’s Facebook page.

DPS: Driver arrested after deadly collision with cyclist in San Benito

SAN BENITO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The suspect in a fatal cyclist crash was arrested Tuesday, the Texas Department of Public Safety announced.
Antonio Rogelio Saenz Jr., 23, was arrested on a charge of criminal negligence homicide, according to a release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
At 1:16 p.m. on Jan. 3, authorities responded to a crash on FM 732 north of US 281.
