Emma Stromberger is one of 25 cyclists that’s part of Texas 4000, a group which is raising money for cancer research and support services. On Wednesday night, fresh off of a ride into town from Florence, the group had two of their bikes stolen while staying overnight at the YMCA in Eugene. When they got up the next morning, two of their bikes were gone. During their journey, the group shares hope, knowledge, and charity but without replacements, it’s the end of the road for Stromberger.

HOUSTON (KIAH) – Houston BCycle, the bike share system, is coming to an end after 12 years of operation. The organization announced that it will cease operating effective June 30. Originally launched in 2012 with 100 bicycles and 10 stations, the system grew to more than 1,100 bikes and 124 stations by 2020.

Police arrest wanted person following bicycle chase

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Officers from Bryan and College Station arrested a wanted man Wednesday after a chase. The man, Ennis Steels IV, 37, is facing new charges of evading with previous convictions, possession of a controlled substance, and assault, among others.
According to College Station Police Steels IV was running from police on his bicycle on Texas Avenue. Police say he eventually dumped his bicycle and jumped fences to get away from officers, but was quickly captured.
He is currently being held in the Brazos County Jail on nine charges with bonds totaling $160,000.
