Academy ISD students learn valuable STEM skills through Wrenches to Wheels

Academy ISD’s incoming seventh-graders got a unique hands-on learning experience recently with the help of a few local businesses.
Workforce Solutions of Central Texas, Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center, and United Way of Central Texas partnered with Academy ISD to present Wrenches to Wheels, a program designed to build skills and confidence through the construction of bicycles, providing students with invaluable lessons in problem-solving, mechanics, and self-reliance. …
