Wild Hogs Scare Two Women on a Texas Bike Path

Two women recently recorded a video of wild hogs running out of the woods while biking on a paved trail. According to a social media post, the two people were cycling in Austin, Texas, when a pack of the animals came sprinting towards them.
One of the women shared the clip with KXAN, a local NBC affiliate in the area. They told the news station there were somewhere between 15 and 20 hogs. When they first spotted them, the two tried to ride faster to avoid the herd, but the animals quickly caught up. They say they’ve seen wild hogs in the area before but never this close. …

Day 15:Ft. Clark Springs to Uvalde: Detour from the Southern Tier temporarily Friday January 26, 2024, 43 miles (69 km) – Total so far: 530 miles (853 km) So we are going off course and have decided to go towards San Antonio and will rejoin the Southern Tier in Austin next week.
Two big factors, 1. We want to see San Antonio 2. The Texas Hill Country is expensive and it’s an odd time to go through it.
Why odd? Well, it’s winter. The appeal of the Hill Country is the green, the wildflowers, the river. Not happening right now. And expensive because the Warm Showers hosts aren’t responsive and the camping is even pricey. And the lodging is ridiculous.
So to the Alamo we go. Sticking to Hwy 90.
