Downtown Master Plan to bring bicycle connections, visual enhancements to Georgetown Square

Georgetown officials are proposing to implement bicycle connections and seating and lighting improvements throughout the Square under the new Downtown Master Plan.
Long story short
The priority is creating connections from downtown to surrounding green spaces, according to city documents.
The proposed bicycle connections will run on:
Rock Street from Eighth Street to Blue Hole Park
Main Street from Sixth Street to San Gabriel River Trail
Eighth Street from Rock Street to Chautauqua Park

Bicyclist in critical condition after being hit by car in front of Los Fresnos United

LOS FRESNOS, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man is in critical condition after being struck by a car while on his bike last night in Los Fresnos.
According to Los Fresnos police, the man was riding his bicycle northbound on FM 803 when he was struck by an SUV in front of Los Fresnos United.
Police received a call about the collision at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday. They say the driver of the SUV did stop to render aid. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital and remains in critical condition.
This is an ongoing investigation.
