2024 STORM Miles of DisComfort MTB Marathon
by Jeff Jordan | stormmtb.org
Think you got the legs for this one? Endurance is the name of the game as participants compete to finish two 19.5-mile laps at Flat Rock Ranch for some sweet singletrack goodness. Bring your climbing legs, because there will be a lot of it! If that seems like too much, we also have a half-marathon category as well. The STORM Miles of DisComfort MTB Marathon is the final race of the 2023/24 Hill Country Bicycle Works Texas Marathon Mountain Bike State Championship Series.
Chainbreaker 10/50 MTB Race (2024 STX MTB Race Series – Race #1 XCM)
allevents.in
The Chainbreaker 10/50 continues the past traditions of the 6-Hour MTB Race, the Chainbreaker 100k, and David’s various birthday races (6 for 46, 7 for 47, and 8 for 48) hosted at the fast and twisty, Monte Bella Trails and Park in Brownsville, Texas.
We will continue with a relay-style XCM (cross-country marathon) MTB race that can be raced solo or on a team of 2, 3, or 4 people. For the event, racers will do 10 laps around Monte Bella, for a total of 50 miles. Podiums for the Top 3 for each category, and a …

New Bike Lane markings and sign on Main Street between Business 83 and Pecan in McAllen Texas; I have been cycling Main Street for a while as a quiet street for biking to shop and eat. Best way to cross interstate too. Main Street is near continuous except for between Dove and Zinnia.

Lovely roll with great company out west to Damon to hit roughly 15 miles of legit gravel. A route starting in Brazos Bend State Park, riding all of the gravel in the park, and then hitting the loop we did outside of the park would be pretty epic for the south side of Houston. On the performance side, I mixed in a fair amount of tempo given we are nearing a recovery week. 70-80g carbs per hour was a key focus today and I never felt a bonk even with the volume of the last several weeks. Great way to cap off the year

2023 Birthday Bike Ride On Northeast Texas Trail NETT
Nathan Chaney | www.youtube.com
When I turned 20 I started a quasi-tradition of riding my bike 10 miles each year I’ve been alive on my birthday. This year called for 370 miles but I rounded down to 37 instead, ha! I took this as an opportunity to do my first gravel ride on my Giant Revolt 2 Advanced and my first ride on the Northeast Texas Trail (NETT).
I plotted a course a course through easy-to-remember town names that totaled about 37 miles. The route ended up being Detroit to Paris to Ben Franklin. The middle 40% of the route was paved which was quite nice and allowed my Teravail Washburn center-slick gravel tires to show their stuff.
For those looking to …
CYCLING | Downtown Austin

Thanks for watching, this is a slow paced ride around downtown Austin, taking in some of the sights. It was a cold morning starting in the 30s but was up to 71° by the end of the day. Glad to Be in a place where’s it’s 70° and sunny in the winter.
Started at Zilker Park under MoPac and rode to South Congress and the Capital building before gettting on the hike and bike trail around Town Lake
