Video Recording Isn’t Easy. Biking Kingwood-San Jacinto Bayou Greenway- Forest Cove
A full week of biking wrapping up today on my Lynskey Helix bike. I rode through Kingwood, onto the San Jacinto Bayou Greenway, and Forest Cove. I used a route name to identify the route but it isn’t the same direction and is a little shorter than the other rides, Kingwood – Forest Cove – San Jacinto Bayou Greenway. I rolled away at 2:24 PM after watching the men’s UCI Cyclocross World Cup Flamanville, France. I watched the women’s race before leaving for church in the morning. The later start dictated a shorter ride. I finished at 4:01 PM after riding 18.32 miles. I rode each day this week, three on Zwift and four on the road.
Recording clips from today’s ride was riddled with mistakes. I turned on the Bolt computer screen capture and then paused the computer so that the first half mile didn’t record the miles or map. After the ride I discovered I forgot to turn on my microphone so if you have wanted a video without me talking this is the one. No sound made it difficult to sync the Bolt map with the video but I got close.
The temperature was 71 with some sun. Much better than the overcast sky and upper 60’s yesterday. I wore a long sleeve jersey and a short sleeve jersey and I’m glad I did. In the shade it was chilly. At the finish it had cooled to 68. Fortunately the wind was only 6 mph.
On the positive side I racked up a bunch of Strava top results. I didn’t know there were that many segments on the route.
