Zwift Play Controllers, Electricity Burps Riding Watopia The Big Ring
It took 2 videos to capture today’s bike ride because my electric burped several times and the last time my internet service didn’t restart quick enough so the livestream stopped. Thanks to OBS it started livestreaming again resulting part 2. Centerpoint Energy has trouble keeping the electricity on when the weather gets wet. Today was one of those days. Fortunately my computer is on a UPS and didn’t shut off.
The Zwift Play controllers arrived yesterday after I finished Zwifting. Today was the first ride with them. There are 12 buttons to push between the two of them and it took me awhile during the ride to figure out some of them. Maybe the next Zwift ride I will learn more of them.
Previous Zwift rides this week have been short so I chose the Watopia The Big Ring route for today’s ride. I rode this once before on October 30th. The two ride results were similar distance and the climbing was the same 883 feet of elevation gain. One big climb around 18 miles going up 326 feet. The rest of the ride was mostly flat to undulating small hills. The Big Ring is the longest “flat” route in Watopia which is why I ride it. I have not tackled any of the monster climb routes.
Using the Zwift Play controllers and the electricity problems distracted me on some of the sprints. I set a new Zwift PR on the Acropolis sprint with 48.51. Strava found two others: PR on The Big Ring (1:57:03) and 3rd fastest time on Going Coastal (35:01).
