Grass Farms, Little Dogs Sprint, Beautiful Weather
Today’s bike ride went south and east through the grass farms along Ramsey road. The weather was beautiful and the wind was light. It all began at 9:40 AM riding my Canyon Endurace CF7 bike on the Kingwood – Stroker Road – Kingwood route. The last time I rode this route was August 21st and I had a flat tire but no flat today. On Stroker Road two small dogs initiated a dog sprint but I sped up and they gave up after a couple of hundred feet. I covered 46.01 miles today, about two miles longer than the average distance from the ride history. I took a break at the Ramsey Road bridge enjoying the shade and snack. That spot isn’t as quiet as it used to be with more traffic. I watched cows in a field in the distance. I was back home at 1:29 PM. Weather: Start 83 degrees, 62% humidity, dew point 68.3, mostly clear, wind NE 5 mph; 92 degrees, 36% humidity, dew point 60.9, a few clouds, wind SE 10 mph.
