The Streak Ended Biking Kingwood Streets
This morning before leaving for church and while I ate breakfast I watched the first 21 minutes of the women’s 2022 UCI Cyclocross World Cup Maasmechelen, Belgium. After getting home from church and before I started today’s bike ride I finished watching the women’s race while eating a snack. It was about the same weather there as here, partly cloudy and the temperature in the low 70’s. I’ll watch the men’s race after today’s ride.
Nourished and enthused from the race I set out on my bike ride at 1:54 PM riding my Lynskey Helix bike. I decided to ride the Kingwood Streets route after a two week break. I added a couple of streets and got lost in Kings Point Village which increased the mileage slightly compared to other recent bike rides on this route. Finishing at 3:33 PM I rode 21.09 miles, a couple of miles more than the average for this route. This closed out the week with 183.64 miles breaking my 7 week streak of 200+ mile weeks. 200 mile weeks will be harder to get with the changing weather and end of daylight saving time next Sunday. I rode every day this week, 2 days in Zwift, 1 day in Wahoo RGT, and 4 on the road.
Some of what I saw during the bike ride: a man riding a bike with his dog (in the video), many booths at Town Center Park (in the video), Kings Harbor (in the video), and cars around the 7 eleven store that has been under construction forever.
Strava reported two medals: PR on Pin Oak Creek Sprint – Northbound (1:31) and 2nd fastest time on Kingwood Drive to Hidden Lakes (1:49).
