Revisited Wooden Bridges, West Fork High School
It is a good thing I didn’t ride to Town Center Park in Kingwood today because it was filled with the semi-annual car show. I didn’t remember the show was happening until after I started biking. I chose my Forest Cove – Oakhurst – Kingwood route for the third time this year. I started riding at 1:17 PM after getting home from church. Since it was Sunday I rode my Lynskey Helix bike. The ride went through several Kingwood villages before I made it to the San Jacinto Bayou Greenway, Hamblen Road, Sorters Road, Northpark Drive, and into Oakhurst. Exiting Oakhurst onto the southbound US59 frontage road I made the u-turn at Northpark Drive, north on the frontage road, right on E. Knox Street and then into Woodridge Forest. At the 2:52 PM finish I rode 20.29 miles. My week ended with 235.9 miles, and 119 miles away from my 651 mile goal for the month. Six weeks in a row of 200+ miles.
Today’s weather summary for the ride: start 87 (humidity 53%, dew point 68), partly cloudy, wind S 7 mph; finish 90 (humidity 45%, dew point 66), partly cloudy, wind N 0 mph.
I was on a bike each day of the week. I rode my Cervelo bike on 4 rides and 3 times on the Lynskey bike. The average ride distance was 33.7 miles. No route was done more than once.
Strava showed my 2nd fastest time on Northshore Sunset (3:53) near the San Jacinto Bayou Greenway.
