Sweating It Out Bicycling Kingwood – SH242 – Kingwood
With the weatherman calling for high 90’s today I started my bike ride at 8:43 AM and finished at 11:39 AM. I chose a northerly route, what I call my “Kingwood – SH242 – Kingwood” ride. My bike today was the Cervelo Caledonia. I’m enjoying the AXS eTap shifting more and more. Yesterday my Bolt computer warned me that the Assioma power meter pedal needed to be charged. I wish I got the same warning for the Wahoo speed and cadence sensors.
The ride today covered 37.66 miles in 2:43:52 time. This was the 6th time riding this route in 2022. The rides’ distance varies because I don’t ride the exact same roads each time. Today I added a circle in Elm Grove Village. The 6 rides are evenly divided between the Cervelo and Lynskey R300 bikes. I need to ride my Lynskey Helix the next time.
Wind continues to not be a problem in contrast to April and May. More clouds today held the temperature a few degrees lower than yesterday. Some of the clouds were darker leading me to think rain might happen but it didn’t. Weather conditions: start 85 (humidity 78%, dew point 77), partly cloudy, wind N 0 mph; finish 91 (humidity 61%, dew point 75), mostly cloudy, wind SE 6 mph.
