Misting Outside, Sweating Inside Biking Watopia Triple Flat Loops
It finally happened. I got ready to ride outdoors but while I was doing that the weather decided to turn misty. I waited about 30 minutes for the mist to go away instead it hung around for more totaling 0.02″ on my home weather station. By now the streets were damp and and noon was upon me. I decided to ride Zwift and created a meetup riding the Watopia Triple Flat Loops route. The name was a little misleading because it wasn’t flat with 515 feet of climbing over the 21.77 miles I rode. But no big climbs, just numerous little ones. This will put a crimp on biking 200 miles this week with a total of 157.04 miles after today’s ride. Hopefully the weather dries out some for Saturday and I can ride 35+ miles and then make up the shortage on Sunday. This was my second ride on this route. I rode stage 2 of the Tour of Watopia on this route March 13th. Today’s ride wasn’t as fast or long as that one. Link to ZwiftInsider.com information about the route.
My last Zwift ride was March 30th on stage 5 of the Tour of Watopia. My consecutive days of biking is still intact from February 17th to today.
On the good news side. This was the first livestream with my new ISP, Tachus, using the 1 Gbps synchronous connection. No drop outs or freezes like I experienced with my previous ISP, SuddenLink.
Strava recorded a 2nd fastest time on Rebel Route: Triple Flat Loops (1:17:40). When I started the ride my legs didn’t feel that great but they improved as the miles passed. Since it was a Zwift meetup instead of a group ride I think the competitive push wasn’t there today.
