A local bike shop on Broadway is permanently putting on the brakes. San Antonio Bike Shop at 1800 Broadway will close for good sometime in December, the store posted to its Facebook page on November 10.
"Due to a national bike and part shortage that has plagued the industry for the last year and a half we can no longer financially stay in business," the post reads.

Lawson Craddock has become the second EF-Education Nippo rider to face a possible contract termination after he was photographed on a bike other than his Cannnodale trade team machine.

Tuesday November 9, 2021, 29 miles (47 km) – Total so far: 1,738 miles (2,797 km) I will have a short ride to La Grange so I started later than usual. It was cloudy but pleasant temperature. I can feel higher humidity but not unbearable.
I rode into La Grange about noon time. Met a local guy in DQ, who told me about a two day ride from Austin to Houston with La Grange as the mid point. Had the afternoon to explore the historic downtown area. There are plaques talking about local history. Meetup at 7am and rollout at 7:15am from the Mopac Pedestrian Bridge(Southside). (South side of the river, under Mopac, basically where Stratford goes under Mopac.)
There will be 2 rest stops this year. Rest Stop # 1 will have the infamous Fixe biscuits as well as coffee at the top of Terrance Mountain. Rest Stop # 2 will be the classic stop off of River Place & Sun Tree Cove. This stop be will dual purpose on your way out to 620 and your way back up Big View. The County has approved a new section of trail that goes from the intersection of Rim and Bob Ross over to the Jeep Road. The plan for Saturday is to remove brush, trim trees, remove stumps, harvest rocks for a creek crossings, and start work on a major bench cut.

The Permian Basin Bicycle Association will host the annual Veterans Day Ride starting at 9 a.m. Saturday at CPL Ray’s located at 3111 Faudree Road in Odessa.
The ride will honor local veterans and support their participation in the Trail Warrior Project.
