Roy Collom Toone, Jr, 70, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2021. Roy was born in Waco, Texas on April 16, 1950 to Myrtle Arlene (Esko) and Roy Collom Toone, Sr. He was a graduate of Waco High School, where he was a member of the JROTC and played trombone in the band. Roy went on to study Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M University, earning a bachelors in 1972 and masters in 1974. He was also in the Corps of Cadets and a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band. Roy met and married his wife, Betti Leonette (Zane) in 1974. …
… Roy was a family man, happiest spending his time with his children, supporting and coaching them in their sports, music, and other extracurriculars, and teaching them his numerous handy-man skills. He completed the MS150 bike ride four times because his children wanted to ride it. …

Today, on this first Friday of the 2021 version of February, for the first time this new year, I rolled my bike’s wheels.
I don’t know why I’ve had such a long drought bike riding-wise. I suppose cold weather lessens the appeal.
It had been such a long time since I’ve paid any attention to my bike I did not realize til this morning that the tires were in need of some fresh air being pumped into the tubes.
