MIDLAND, Texas — The City of Midland is considering an agreement with the Permian Basin Bicycle Association to construct a multi-use trail park.
The agreement is on the agenda for the January 26 City Council meeting.
If approved, the system would be located on city property, next to the Harris Field Fire Training Center.

The Midland City Council on Tuesday approved a lease agreement with the Permian Basin Bicycle Association to build a 135-acre multi-use trail and disc golf course in southeast Midland.
The park is planned to open in the fall with construction beginning in the next 60 days, according to city planning documents. It will be located next to the Harris Field Fire Training Center in southeast Midland near the intersection of Interstate 20 and Highway 307.
