The community of Paris strikes again as a fundraiser climbs to a $20,000 goal for Pump Track Paris as they name the grandstands in honor of local cycling enthusiast Casey Ressler. They completed the track several months ago. However, the full vision includes added amenities such as raised grandstands and lighting, making the track the perfect destination for large events for years to come.

FATAL CRASH IN PORTER

Law Enforcement officers are on the scene of a train vs pedestrian crash on the tracks along Loop 494 between Royal Purple Drive and Ford Road. The train vs bicycle crash happened possibly close to 7 am when the train conductor thought something was struck. When they stopped on Aldine Bender and Old Humble to inspect the train they realized they had struck something and notified Harris County who in turn notified Montgomery County. There are no traffic delays in the area.

Montgomery County Detectives are still on the scene of a train vs bicycle fatal crash in Porter. At 7:24 am Montgomery County received a call from Harris County stating they had a train that was stopped at Aldine Bender and Old Humble Road that had struck a man and bicycle in the area of Ford Road and the tracks in Porter.
