Rising temperatures no obstacle for 2020 MS150 Midland riders

The 2020 MS150 Midland ride took place Saturday and started at the TXDoT headquarters.
SAN ANGELO, Texas — The West Texas heat did not stop riders from participating in the 2020 MS150 Midland Bike Ride. The 72-mile ride began at 7 a.m. Saturday at the Texas Department of Transportation, 4502 Knickerbocker Road.
The route included several locations for riders wanting a shorter ride, and provided rest areas, as well as support throughout the ride. Some rode 20 miles, some rode 40 and others completed a 75-mile trek in support of those affected by multiple sclerosis. …

JIM HOGG COUNTY, Texas — A moment of hope out of Jim Hogg County ISD.
Adriana Guerra Miller, a library clerk at Hebbronville Junior High, sent in photos of teachers riding their bikes together to stay active and positive.
Miller said throughout the pandemic she’s seen more pods of people getting out to ride their bikes through the town.

To some, Saturday mornings are for mountain biking. Saturday marked a virtual ride for Bike MS, a charity to help those with Multiple Sclerosis, with some local cyclists taking part across the Basin. One small group held their virtual ride at the Odessa Mountain Bike Park, setting off at sunrise among other regular riders who frequent the park. …
