Bicyclist, innocent driver killed at end of police chase in north Houston

A bicyclist and an innocent driver are dead after they were both struck by a man fleeing police on the wrong side of the road late Monday night.
A Harris County sheriff’s deputy spotted the driver of a Mercedes Benz car in the 10000 block of Veterans Memorial Drive travelling “highly over the speed limit†around 9 p.m., according to Harris County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Simon Cheng. The deputy tried to pull the driver over, but he allegedly sped off south along Veterans Memorial.

Police are looking for a man accused of stalking and groping female joggers — as well as exposing himself to them — throughout central Houston, according to court records.
Mark Lee Thames, 49, faces indecent assault and exposure charges in connection with a string of lewd incidents involving at least four different women — one of whom said he grabbed her last month in Midtown.

HIDALGO COUNTY, Texas – Phase two of Hidalgo County Precinct 2’s hike and bike trail is nearing completion.
As part of phase two of construction, Hidalgo County Precinct 2 Commissioner Eddie Cantu said they added two bridges.
