Blueberry Crisp Picnic at Ramsey Road
For the third time this year I rode the “Kingwood to Ramsey Road – Huffman” route. I thought I rode it more than three times but the computer says no. The Canyon Endurace CF SLX rolled out the driveway at 11:13 AM. A summary of the three rides in 2020.
When I got up this morning the temperature was a chilly 56 degrees. When I made a run to the Walmart for groceries I felt it getting warmer and by the time I began the ride it was 84. I am liking the warm weather and blue sky. What the weather was like while I biked: start 84 (62% humidity, 69.9 dew point), fair, wind S 14 mph gusts 21 mph. Finish 88 (55% humidity, 69.4 dew point), fair, wind S 15 mph. The wind fought me most of the way to Ramsey Road but with the temperature I almost didn’t mind. Shorts and a short sleeve jersey was just right with sunscreen on my arms.
Biking 37.65 miles today meant another 200+ mile week with 2 potential riding days left. The week’s total: 203.05 miles. This might be the most miles in a week since the middle of 2019. April stands at 780.21 miles. I should beat March’s 825.78 miles and maybe get to 900+ miles.
A few other bikers crossed my route with me catching many of them with the GoPro. Watch my video for highlights from the bike ride.
Saturday’s weather forecast calls for a repeat from today.
