Ride of Silence format to be changed
The coronavirus pandemic has required a change to the format of the 17th annual Ride of Silence, which is set for May 7.
The International Ride of Silence Board of Directors has decided that instead of group rides, participants do solo rides or rides with their family, according to an announcement shared by the Permian Basin group.
The purpose of the Ride of Silence is to honor bicyclists who have been injured or killed and raise awareness of bicycling.

Great morning ride that turned into a much longer ride than anticipated. Since I was solo I kept taking new roads to see where they went. Some good… some not so much! 😂 End up in Dayton and got a solo Rona century in. 🤙ðŸ¼ðŸ’ªðŸ¼ðŸ™ðŸ¼ Easter weekend with the family and birthdays 🎂 for Emily, Jax, & Kelly! Three months ago today, I wrote a blog titled What’s It Like to Bike 90 Days in a Row for a Total of 1,985 Miles? Adding 2020’s mileage thus far, 1,677, I come up with a sum of 3,662 miles.
