Our readers love the North American Handmade Bicycle Show, and so do we. That’s why we were all saddened to learn of its postponement due to the COVID-19 virus.
What to do? The show has been rescheduled to August, but we still have plenty of great NAHBS content to share with you. We’re going to have our usual series of pre-NAHBS interviews to put the spotlight on a handful of our favorite builders – and will start sharing these stories NOW, when the original show was scheduled to begin. I had sheltered in place for almost an entire day, voluntarily, as doing such is not yet mandatory at my location, though mandatory sheltering in place is being discussed today by those in charge of deciding such things for the people who live in Wichita Falls.
So, whilst still being able to exit my abode without fear of being in trouble with the mandatory sheltering special police I drove my bike hauling vehicle to Lucy Park to do some riding in this sudden return to summer-like temperatures.

more details » Due to the current crisis, El Paso Bicycle Club is NOT sponsoring any group rides. BUT we are allowed to ride with 1-3 other people. Our suggestion is that people who want to find someone else to ride with come to Rio Plaza at 8:30 and join up in a group of no more than 4 people. You decide route and pace. Practice social distancing with people before, during and after the ride: Be sure to keep 6 feet apart. Please RSVP so we know who to expect.
