Adding March Miles With Great Weather
Fantastic bike ride weather again today. 83 degrees when I began riding the “Atascocita – Walden – Huffman” route at 10:42 AM. A few clouds in the sky but the ride progressed the clouds thinned out and the temperature went up to 87 degrees by the time I finished biking 32.39 miles at 1:13 PM.
Those miles pushed my March total to 716.43 miles, the most miles in a month since last October. If I ride another 28 miles I will surpass last October’s 744 miles.
The Lynskey R300 Titanium road bike now totals 523 miles since the first bike ride in February. I am starting to figure out the gearing combinations that mimic the ones I use on the Canyon Endurace. Today I probably should’ve shift to a lower gear once I worked up to the one I used for most of the ride.
Only about half of the other bikers I passed on the ride made it in the video because the missing half popped up when I wasn’t expecting them and didn’t have time to record them on the GoPro. I am still having a problem with the GoPro freezing after I change the battery but I think the MicroSD card is not fast enough and the video hangs up writing to the card.
Friday’ weather may be even warmer but a front arrives sometime Saturday. I will add miles tomorrow.
