FBTX – City of Farmers Branch residents and visitors will soon have more transportation options for getting around the city with the advent of the “Westside Art Trail,†a $10.4 million project with construction largely funded by private, county and federal sources.
The 12-foot-wide trail will ultimately wind its way through the new Mercer Crossing development providing a much needed connection from the Campion Trail in Irving to the Farmers Branch DART Light Rail Station area near Interstate 35E and Valley View Lane. SAN ANTONIO – Crowds gathered on a bridge off Ranch View East and Remrock Valley to remember a fifth grade student who was hit by a car while riding her bike to school.
Resident Daniel Castillo said the child’s death was a tragedy no one expected to happen, but he believes it could have been prevented.
“If this can be prevented from happening again, I want to be one of the people to do it,†he said.
