RM 620 South Improvements Slated For Discussion

An upcoming open house will enable residents to hear more about plans for road enhancements from SH 71 to Hudson Bend Road.
AUSTIN, TX — Texas Department of Transportation officials will host a public hearing this week to discuss proposed improvements to RM 620 South, the agency announced on Tuesday.
The open house scheduled to take place on Thursday, Feb. 20, will be centered on enhancements planned for RM 620 South from SH 71 to Hudson Bend Road. The event is planned from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Lake Travis High School cafeteria, 3324 RM 620 South.

Handlebar Cyclery relocated at the end of 2019 to 24948 FM 1093, Ste. 220, Richmond, near Fulshear, store Manager Richard Ryder said. It was previously located on Westheimer Lakes Drive, also near Fulshear. The locally owned store sells bicycles and bike accessories and has a repair shop. Tri Global Energy is again joining with fellow Texans for Bike MS, the nationwide fundraising cycling series of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS).
Team Wind Force will saddle up May 16-17 for Bike MS Round-Up Ride 2020. Now in its fifth year, the Dallas area team has raised more than $47,700 to help people with multiple sclerosis (MS). The goal this year is $20,000.

Harris County Precinct 1 Commissioner Rodney Ellis pledged Monday to donate $7.4 million to help complete Bayou Greenways 2020, a transformative public-private project that aims to create 3,000 acres of greenspace along Houston’s watersheds along with 150 miles of connected trails for hiking and cycling. At the start of 2020 I looked back at Strava and was sad to see how little I rode. Excuses after excuses – too cold or too hot (100F+), too dark out, too early, no time, etc… I managed to maybe ride once a week.
