I dressed lighter today with the temperature at 74 degrees with wheels down at 11:49 AM. The wind let today as well as I biked the “Atascocita – Walden – Huffman” route going 31.81 miles. I rode the Lynksey R300 bike. Still getting used to the different gearing from the Canyon. The Fabric saddle is good but I need a longer ride to see how it does.

Weather during the bike ride: start 74 (87% humidity, 70.0 dew point), overcast with haze, wind S 8 mph. Finish 78 (78% humidity, 70.7 dew point), overcast, wind S 7 mph. I wore shorts, regular long sleeve jersey and a jacket. I felt comfortable even biking over the cooler Lake Houston water. The wind showed mercy on me today. The overcast sky seems to threaten rain during the ride but none today.

At the beginning of the ride the PowerPod went through a calibration ride. I thought once would be enough but it went through twice and then hung at the halfway point the third time. I couldn’t get it to move on and pressed the button many times in different combinations before one worked and the power readings start flowing the Elemnt computer. Hopefully the next ride won’t require this.

The weather changes tonight to wet and cooler so no outdoor biking on Wednesday.
