HOUSTON – A teen bicyclist was airlifted to a hospital for treatment after being struck by a vehicle in a northwest Harris County neighborhood Thursday evening, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
Gonzalez tweeted at 5:05 p.m. that deputies were at 14200 Philippine Street near Windfern Road after the teenager was struck.

Mayor Sylvester Turner and Team Apache will lead participants in the 2020 Tour de Houston Presented by Apache Corporation. Cyclists of all skill levels will gather at City Hall on Sunday, March 15th as the event returns for its 15th year to benefit the Re-Plant Houston Program managed by the Houston Parks and Recreation Department. Riders will follow an all-new route this year heading northwest through Spring Branch, Fairbanks and Copperfield to Cypress before returning downtown. The 20-mile route will stop at Lion Lane School, the 40-mile route will stop at Lee Elementary School and the full 60-mile route will stop at Thornton Middle School. This event begins and ends in Hermann Square at City Hall located at 901 Bagby. Riders and volunteers will enjoy a post-ride party that includes music, free food and beverages. …

On the afternoon of Thursday, February 13, 2020, a man was injured in a bicycle accident that occurred in College Station, Texas.
According to initial reports, the man was riding a bicycle near Texas Avenue and Francis Drive, near the Texas A&M Golf Course, when for an unknown reason, he lost control of his bike. As a result, the man crashed.
The bicyclist sustained injuries, and he was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The crash still remains under investigation. …
