Real rain outside today making the choice to go Zwifting easy. I rode the Tour de Zwift stages 1 to 3 races and today I rode my first Tour De Zwift Group Ride. The ride began at 12:30 PM CST with lots of sun in Watopia. The ride went on The Trip Into The Wilderness. I chose Group B, my first time in a group that high; Group C only accepts women. 878 riders signed up across all of the groups, with 374 registered Group B riders. I finished in 134th ranking biking 14.33 miles in 36:43 averaging 188 watts.

Choosing Group B concerned me with the 1.0 – 5.0 w/kg average. I never reached 5.0 w/kg in Zwift but as the group I joined settled in we stayed around 2.3 to 2.6 w/kg except for going up hills. That group of riders were in 158 to 168 positions. I set a new personal record on Fuego Flats of 44.64 seconds. Strava recorded at least three new personal records.
