Austin draws up plans to close Rainey Street to cars permanently

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A new report by the City of Austin lays out what is possible for the future of Rainey Street, including potential plans which could close off the street to car traffic permanently.
City staff have identified that Rainey Street “has seen rapid growth in recent years†which has strained existing infrastructure and transportation options.

Transportation Services Announces Rule Changes For VeoRide Bikes

The VeoRide bike share program at Texas A&M University will start the new year with new rules, Transportation Services officials announced today.
Effective immediately, riders are required to lock VeoRide bikes to a rack or approved parking device before ending their rides. The new regulations are designed to keep the campus tidy and keep the bikes from ending up in places where they don’t belong.
