Final numbers in for the 2018 Hotter’N Hell Hundred in Wichita Falls

Final numbers are in for the 2018 Hotter’N Hell Hundred, and the ride is beginning to grow again.
While overall totals didn’t quite match previous records, this year’s total – 11,889 – bested 2017, when the centennial ride saw just under 11,000 participants.

Bicyclist Killed in Pecos County Crash

PECOS COUNTY, TX– News West 9 in Midland reports one person has died in an auto-pedestrian crash near Fort Stockton.
Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers were called to a scene near FM 2037, roughly 10 miles outside of Fort Stockton, at 8 a.m. on Monday, according to News West 9’s report.
The initial investigation from DPS showed 65-year-old Robert N. Beal was traveling south on his bicycle when Darren J. Hinsley struck they bicycle from behind.
Beal was pronounced dead at the scene. Hinsley sustained no injuries in the crash.
The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
