Subsisting on a diet of ramen and oatmeal, Robert Neidlinger has ridden his bicycle from San Diego to College Station — a roughly 1,400-mile journey — over the past three months. And he still has about 1,000 miles to go.

Thief steals new bike from special needs man in Denison

DENISON, Texas (KXII) — Surveillance video outside a Denison grocery store shows a man stealing a bike that belongs to a special needs man.
Anthony Adams has worked at Albertsons in Denison for about a month and when mom can’t drive him there, he likes to ride his brand new bicycle.
“I got it for my birthday and my high school graduation present from my aunt,” Adams said.

… I hadn’t attended the Dublin ride since it was called Tour de Pepper. Dr. Pepper was first bottled in Dublin beginning in 1891. Long story but Dublin can’t use of the name or logo “Dr. Pepper,” so now the ride is a charitable event to buy water filters.
Since I haven’t been to this ride in a few years, I am not sure if the attendance was good or bad. If one could have ridden and didn’t, one missed a good ride. OK, it was windy, but it’s west Texas…what’s new? …
