Clicking Bottom Bracket Bearing Fixed Bike Ride
Today’s bike ride traveled the “New Caney – Tavola – Valley Ranch” route and I checked out the Blue Norcross AL bike’s replaced bottom bracket bearing. The bottom bracket turns smoothly with no clicking or hesitation. The bike went a total of 34.67 miles moving me to within 18 miles of my 772 mile goal for April. The weather during today’s bike ride almost felt like summer with 90 degrees at the 2:43 finish. The mostly cloudy sky kept the sun at bay but it still felt hot and I perspired like summer. The SSE wind at 21 mph with 26 mph gusts made pedaling into it tough especially difficult with the 700 x 32 tires on the Blue Norcross AL bike. It is almost like riding tall rim carbon fiber wheels as far as the wind goes.
Other than the wind nothing unusual about today’s bike ride. The little dog that chased me yesterday didn’t get a chance since I went on other streets. The only stop was a quick one at the Stripes store to refill my water bottle.
The PowerPod left here yesterday to go back to Velocomp to see what the problem is. It wouldn’t reset and appeared to be dead. Hopefully it is covered by the warranty.
RandomBikeParts.com reimbursed my cost to replace the clicking bottom bracket bearing on the Blue Norcross AL bike. They had great communications and responded to my messages promptly.
I plan on biking tomorrow to reach my April mileage goal. Hopefully the weather cooperates.
