Program teaches bicycle riding

Students have an opportunity to teach children with disabilities how to ride a bike this week.
UTA and the Down Syndrome Partnership of North Texas are hosting the iCan Bike summer camp. iCan Bike is a five-day program aiming to teach children with mental disabilities how to ride a bicycle in a week. From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the camp will occupy the far side of Maverick Activities Center, said Elizabeth Hammond, Down Syndrome Partnership of North Texas program specialist.

Pastor on 1,000-mile bike ride from Texas to Tennessee

NASHVILLE, TN (WMC) – Pastor Matt Gaston of University Park United Methodist Church (UPUMC) in Dallas is trading the pulpit for the pedals.
Gaston began a 15-day journey on his bike June 10, and aside from a few short breaks, doesn’t plan on stopping until he reaches Nashville.

Hazard: The front brakes can detach from fork during use, posing a crash hazard.
Remedy: Replace
Consumers should stop using the recalled bicycles and bicycle frame kits and contact Colnago America for a free inspection. If the hole in the front fork for the brake mounting bolt is not at least 12 mm in depth, the front fork will be replaced free of charge.
