Then, on March 28, you can bike through the ranch where Lyndon Baines Johnson once lived during the LBJ 100 Bicycle Tour.
Cyclists choose from routes of 10, 30, 42, 62 or 85 miles in this non-competitive group bike ride, which rolls off at 9 a.m. from the LBJ Ranch in Stonewall. by Alyssa Mejia      www.caller.com
The recent time change and increasing daylight present another opportunity for involvement, in this case with cycling. Team Life Cyclers is hosting a series of free weekend bike clinics for riders training for the April 11 Tour de Cure, or to gain skills to join local group training rides.
“If you’ve ridden as a kid or teen but haven’t ridden in a while, this is a way to get a little confidence by getting comfortable controlling your bike and making quick changes in direction,” said Deidre Hall, a clinic leader.
The clinics go over techniques such as helmet fitting, fixing flat tires, checking for …
Biking the Bayfront
by Omar C. Garcia      gobeyondblog.com
