REDLANDS: Cyclist to tackle 485-mile course

Roger Coggins isn’t one to shy away from a challenge.
He has entered the Ride 2 Recovery Texas Challenge, an up to 485-mile bicycle ride that starts March 22 in Houston and ends March 29 in Fort Worth.
He learned about the ride from participating in the Ride 2 Recovery California Challenge. Other riders “talked abut how great it is. So I thought, ‘I have to check this out,’†he said.
The first day of the Texas Challenge covers 85 miles, followed by 98 miles the next day, which happens to be Coggins’ 54th birthday. He said cyclists can ride 100 miles each of the first two days. He is thinking of doing it, partly for the…

Daylight Savings Time is gone and it is cooler in the mornings so we are back to our Winter hours effective December 1, 2013 the All Level Ride @ Walnut Creek will start at 1:30 p.m. and will continue to do so until sometime in Spring (usually around Easter).
