Turkey Roll riders unflapped by cold

Cyclists brave frigid temperatures to ride in the 2013 Denton Breakfast Kiwanis Club Turkey Roll Bicycle Rally on Saturday.
Despite the frigid temperatures and misty rain, about 200 “tough turkeys†showed up for the Denton Breakfast Kiwanis Club’s 31st annual Turkey Roll Bicycle Rally on Saturday morning.
While the bicycling tradition might have seen fewer participants this year due to wintry conditions, organizers said they lucked out for about 10 years with decent weather.

Annual Post-Thanksgiving Greenbelt Ride

Yes, folks, it’s that time of year again. The day after Thanksgiving is traditionally the “burn off the calories” greenbelt ride where we hit the Barton Creek Greenbelt to burn off all of those extra pieces of pie.
With the rain this year it is going to be hard to say what we can/can’t ride. I will make a call on Thanksgiving as to whether we can ride the greenbelt or whether the venue shifts to City Park this year.
The weather is looking like it breaks by Wednesday and we get some warmer, dry weather, so that could mean that we end up in a good position to ride the GB.
Typically there will be enough people that we split into multiple groups based on skill level.
