Ride The NETT 2013 Review
by Shawn McAfee         www.texasmountainbiketrails.com
Long Hard & Dirty, that is absolutely the NETT and it fits perfectly with the Spinistry motto.
For those that have been hiding under a bridge the past month or so (trolls), last Saturday was the first ever Ride The NETT, a mountain bike rally of sorts that drew over 200 people to the cities of Farmersville, Celeste, Wolf City, Ladonia, Ruxton and Paris.
Here at TXMTB we’ve done lots of coverage of the Northeast Texas Trail (NETT) and rightfully so! It’s an…

Couple rides to help wounded soldiers
Texas Honor Ride has raised more than $900K
Jo Anne Embleton Jacksonville Daily Progress
RUSK — Rusk residents Dennis and Pat Schwartz have been bike enthusiasts since the early days of their marriage, and it wasn’t unusual to see the couple out on a spin, with a son each riding behind them.

“I’m a veteran myself,†explained Dennis, who served an eight-year-stint with the U.S. Air Force in the mid-1960s to early ’70s. “We’ve been biking enthusiasts a long time and it just fell into…
11/23 Sansom 66ish (Fort Worth)
by Spinistry         forums.mtbr.com
https://www.bikereg.com/net/sansom-66ish
Is this the toughest endurance mountain bike event in North Texas? Many will attempt it, few will complete it. Time restrictions are tight, margin for error is slim and the course is difficult. Sansom Park is NOT your typical urban mountain bike trail. 1500′ of elevation per each 11 mile lap through loose rock climbs and descents and nary a straightaway over 200 feet long. The trail is fun and challenging and we’re doing every bit of it!
Field is limited to a maximum of 100 participants. We expect to sell out before the day of event but you never know for sure. Event will be rescheduled if weather creates an issue.
This is a distance event with a timed cutoff(s) not a…
