Weslaco – The South Texas Juvenile Diabetes Association (STJDA) received a $9,000 donation from the Hidalgo County Metropolitan Planning Organization (HCMPO) Thursday.
Proceeds were raised during the 3rd Annual Walk-N-Rolla’s 5K & Bike Ride. Armando Mendou Rosales is no ordinary long-distance cyclist, he is a man on a bike with a mission bringing attention to the issues of immigration reform and the importance of the Latino vote.
Rosales is currently on a 2,200 mile journey on his bike from New York City to his native Saltillo, Mexico. You can track him via his Facebook that last reported him in Baltimore, Maryland.
