An afternoon ride in July is going to be a hot one and today was no exception at 98 degrees under a mostly cloudy sky. The ride was delayed until we got back from the medical center. To not be out too long I skipped my usual rest stop and only refilled my water bottle at the Stripes station FM1314. Standing in the shade did not feel that much different from the sun. This ride should be a good training ride for the HHH in August.

Riding to the north I went up over US59 at Community Drive to head back home. Wanting to not loop back on the same roads I went through Valley Ranch, Briar Tree, Oakhurst and then Forest Cove. This totaled 29.93 miles at 15.7 mph average speed. July miles: 318.79. Year to date miles: 3644.
