Florescent Orange Jersey – January 28th Bike Ride
With the florescent orange long sleeve jersey I wore today warmth was not a problem. The 79 degrees did not hurt either. I probably burned some people’s eyes with this jersey. A mostly cloudy sky hung around from some rain we got yesterday. The wind decided to kick up toady from the SSE at 16.1 mph. I rode to the north so I had a tailwind for the first 13 miles but I my average speed does not reflect it coming in at 14.8 mph. My max speed was 21.2 mph.
My legs still had some power left from Saturday’s romp in the hills around Coldspring so when I turned into the wind I did not mind the resistance. Riding to Community Drive I thought about the smooth roads compared the SR150 on Saturday. I still can remember my toes vibrating in my shoes. Today’s route was 28.92 miles putting me at 309.39 miles for January, well over my 267 mile goal. with three potential riding days left I could add to the number.
