Rain Cooperates – June 8th Bike Ride
During the night we got almost .6″ of rain. We needed the rain and coming during the night meant by the time to leave on my ride the streets dried out. This is the best of both worlds. With this 23.72 mile ride my YTD miles crossed the 3,000 mark to 3,021.07 miles. I usually don’t reach this until late August or early September. My ride was shorter than my recent ones since I need to go on an errand this afternoon. The temperature is lower this morning with the rain; 80 degrees at the start and 82 at the end. Humidity moved up to 65% from 44% yesterday. A light 7 mph NNE breeze moved the air around some but not enough to help with the sweat. I was soaked at the end with perspiration.
Riding time was 1:32:17 with only 5:54 stopped. Average speed was 15.4 mph, max speed was 22.3 mph and average cadence was 79.6 RPM. Mileage this week is 156.6 and June is 230.7. Link to RideWithGPS.com data and map.
Tomorrow I plan on a longer ride. Weather shows a 30% chance of rain for Saturday.
