Cut Grass Smell – April 1st Bike Ride
As I biked today I could smell freshly cut grass at points along the route. Partly cloudy skies, 86 degrees and a 9.2 mph SSE breeze added to my enjoyment. While I rode under the canopy of trees on the trails when I did get out in the open the sun did not over heat me. Lots of people walked, jogged and biked on the trails. This can be good and bad if people do not pay attention.
I am ready for my road bike to return. My legs are not used to pedaling a heavy mountain bike into the wind and up small hills. I will watch the Tour of Flanders this afternoon recorded earlier today).
Today’s numbers:
- 1:21:22 riding time
- 12.1 mph average speed
- 30.6 mph max speed
- 74.3 RPM average cadence
- 16.37 miles on today’s ride
- 1235.73 miles YTD
- 20 biking days in March
