24 hours makes a difference – March 14th Bike Ride
24 hours makes a difference. Partly cloudy skies, 82 degrees and 18 mph southeast wind contrast with the rain and drizzle on yesterday’s shortened route. I biked the route today I planned on yesterday. The headwind presented some challenges in the open areas but the tailwind allowed me to make up for the slower sections. I saw two other bikers out, one a mountain biker and the other on the road. The spring like weather encouraged me to pedal harder but the average speed does not reflect it. I almost hit the 30 mile mark on the route ending up at 29.77 miles. This week I could go over 150 miles if the weather holds like the forecast. Today’s ride statistics:
- 15.2 mph average speed
- 20.7 mph max speed
- 80.1 RPM average cadence
- 1:57:44 riding time
- 76.47 miles this week
- 224.15 March miles
- 860.24 YTD miles
