Then, the following night, I experienced a continuation of the dream. As mysteriously as it went away, the bike simply came back. And, as strangely, it’s return seemed simply ordinary. At the end of it, I concluded that bike…
Volunteers
GHORBA
If you ride the trails around Houston, then you need to contribute to trail maintenance. Without volunteers, there would be no off-road bike trails in this city.
One of the greatest assets we have to offer land managers is our ability to organize volunteer labor for trail building and maintenance. This means we need you!
‘Nuf said, we think, apart from to mention that trail work parties are posted on our Trail News, Calendar and Trail Conditions pages. …

Walking and bicycling for transportation, fitness, and fun in and around Kirksville.
By Rachel Ruhlen         www.kirksvilledailyexpress.com

There are two bike mechanics in town, Ivy Fixes Bikes and Kirk Ranson. Both of them do great work. …

Some brave soul just stood up and asked a speaker from Illinois whether the transportation advocacy group he has just finished touting as essential speaks up in favor of pedestrian and cycling options?
“Your blunt-speaking mayor of Chicago , Rahm Emanuel, took office and said the city was going to build 100 miles of (dedicated) bike lanes. F Portland, except he said the word. I’d like to ask” … if your group stands up to support bike lanes and other pedestrian friendly improvements. …
