A few of us will be making a foray into Barton Creek Greenbelt this coming Sunday morning January 29th to remove more environmentally invasive Chinese Privet bushes using weed wrenches. With the previous two workdays we made a lot of progress, and we should be able to near the end of the task (for the area of the project) of removing this plant. Canyon, TX – Texas state parks continue to suffer with a budget crisis after a year of fires and drought.
State parks have suffered a four-point-six million dollar shortfall, but they say after a month of fundraising, they are hoping donations and visitations will go up.
