Sun and Ski Sports Presents the SS Trails Excruciation Exam

The Excruciation Exam starts with a 7 mile lap of singletrack at Bluff Creek Ranch in Warda, Texas, then goes over paved and gravel roads to Rocky Hill Ranch in Smithville, Texas. There you will ride an approximately 17 mile lap of trails, then back to Bluff Creek. Total mileage will be between 80-85 miles. There will be at least four checkpoints along the route. Water and some nutrition will be available at these stops, personal feeds are also allowed only at checkpoints. Awards will be given to top three in each category, cash payout will go only to top three men and top three women regardless of their category. This race is a round of the TMBRA Marathon Series and points earned will go to the overalls for that series. Land use fees for both venues are included in the entry fee, camping at Bluff Creek on Friday night will be at their regular rates. There will be cut off times leaving Rocky Hill to ensure all racers have time to get back safely before dark to Bluff Creek. Sag wagons will bring back anyone not making the cut off time.
