Burr!! It was not that cold but… – November 10th Bike Ride
Burr!! It was not that cold but riding on the greenbelt trails in the shade felt chilly. I am continuing to ride my Motobecane 700HT mountain bike as I set out to do this week. I got a later start today because I was still messing with my Nook Color tablet and trying to get the Android Market installed in Honeycomb operating system. This is probably gibberish to many people but I find it mentally challenging and with the chilly morning I had some time to work on it. When I did leave to ride it was 68 degrees with clear blue skies and it was 66 degrees when I got back home. Wind was not much of with a light 1.1 mph breeze with 6.5 mph gusts that was not that noticeable in the woods. Tomorrow it is supposed to warm up some so I can probably ride earlier.
I did manage to ride a little farther today with 14.13 miles at an average speed of 10.6 mph and a max speed of 21.6 mph. My speed was lower today because my left knee started hurting around the 7 mile point. After I slowed down for a couple of miles the pain went away. I guess I was trying to pedal too fast on too big of a gear. Average cadence was 73.5 RPM. November miles are 164.16 and year to date I am at 5147.66 miles.
