Texas Bicycling Blog and News Roundup for October 1st
No ride today because I spent most of the day at the University of Houston Natatorium for the Houston Area Special Olympics swim competition. My niece was in four events and came away with four gold medals. The number of competitors seemed huge and the concrete bleachers were not butt friendly so thank goodness for the hours I have spent on my bike saddle.
Indian Springs Park – Waco Bicycle Club
When: Saturday 08:00 AM
What: Road/all levels
Distance:Â 20.63, 35.53, or 76.92 miles
This ride starts at Indian Springs Park in downtown Waco. It will be open to all levels of road riders and will have set routes. This will allow riders that arrive late, or that would like to join in somewhere along the route, to do so.
Baylor, Waco Tri and Waco Bicycles Clubs will all be involved with this ride. All riders will start at the same time from the park. All distances are a drop rides. So if you intend to ride please keep in mind that you will need to pre-ride the route or print a map and keep it with you. There will not be sag support. So bring the…
